The one accessory you NEED this Spring! An interview with Adair Arnold of Circle + Hide

I met Adair Arnold in my AP studio art class at Westminster. Adair was one of the only juniors in the class. She was quiet, confident, extremely talented, and so nice. All her pieces were joyful, alive and full of beautiful color - just like her. I was so impressed with the way Adair carried herself. She played volleyball, loved her boyfriend Crawford, and quietly excelled at everything she did.

Two years later I was at college in Boston, and my roommate and I walked into the gas station across the street from our dorm. At the register I saw Adair's face staring up at me from the cover of Cosmopolitan. She won a country wide model search that landed her on the cover. I wouldn't say I was shocked. My first thoughts were just that it could not have happened to a more deserving person.

Since then Adair has had an illustrious modeling career that's crisscrossed her across the country. She also married the love of her life, Crawford, and the Carneros Inn in Napa, CA.

The best thing about writing this blog is that it gives me an excuse to befriend people I think are cool. Like, it's very easy for me to write someone an email I sort of know and say, "Hey, remember me? I write a blog now and think you're awesome, so lets have a drink."

That's exactly what happened with Morgan Henzlik. We both went to Westminster, and I knew her by name. I was a little shy/unsure of myself in high school, and I never would have had the guts to just go up to someone and ask to be their friend. As luck would have it, we both beame friends with Nikole Morrow-Pettus, the most talented make up artist in the city (cross my heart. She works at Van Michael Buckheadand will change you life). Nikole reminded me about Morgan and that in the 10+ years since high school, she'd grown into an Atlanta style icon. Seriously. She now owns Morgan Kylee, a boutique where the who's who of Atlanta shops.

A few weeks ago I did write that email to Morgan and we met for a drink. Morgan came in wearing a leather hat and military shirt and looked effortlessly cool. Since then we've met several times and she always looks flawless. I've decided in my next life I want to come back and own Morgan Kylee. Doesn't that just sound like the best job ever?
