The Best Kitchen of 2014!

Blayne Macauley December 28, 2014

Merry Christmas from my family :).  I hope you had a wonderful holiday.  We were lucky enough to celebrate with all our immediate and extended family this holiday season, which was awesome.  We just got home from North Carolina, and it's back to life as usual for a few days before we head to Miami for a little Phish New Years celebration.  :)

Before the end of the year, I want to share with you guys my favorite kitchen of 2014.  The kitchen belongs to Cathy and Chip Groome.  Chip is the developer of a new subdivision where this home is located.  Todd Pritchett was the architect.  I fell in love with this kitchen as soon as I walked into it.  It honestly might be my favorite kitchen of all time, finally beating out the kitchen from the movie "It's Complicated."  You can see there are distinct similarities between the two, so apparently I have a style ;)

The best things about kitchen are the window behind the sink and the island, both of which you can find in...

My Favorite Kitchen of 2014

I love the beams, the iron windows and the light fixtures.

This breakfast area is located right next to the kitchen and features sliding doors out to the screened in porch.

The view from the breakfast area to the kitchen and on to the living room.

I love the barn door the leads into a small office.  The planked walls behind the fireplace add warmth to the room, and the wet bar makes that corner of the room so interesting.

This shows the doorways opening to the dining room, and it also shows the beautiful brick pattern inside the fireplace.

You can see that same brick pattern again here, in the fireplace on the screened in porch off of the breakfast area.  Wouldn't this be a wonderful place for a morning coffee?

Thank you so much to Chip and Cathy Groome for letting me feature their home and to Linda Williams for asking me to photograph it!

And also... this thing I'm most excited about post Christmas and pre New Years...

AllSaints

Happy Holidays everybody :)

Love,

Blayne
