Happy Birthday Oliver!

Happy Birthday my sweet man.

This time last year I had just gotten an epidural, and you were making some of your last kicks in my belly. Before we went to the hospital we already had your name picked out, "Rodney Oliver Macauley," and we had been calling you Oliver for months. During my labor your daddy was so wonderful to me that I planned on changing your name to his. I wanted to call you James. I had it all set in my head, but then as soon as you came out I gasped, "Oliver!" and that was that. You've always been an Oliver.

When they handed you to me for the first time I said, "he looks just like me!" It was the strangest feeling to see a baby that looked like me, but I was SO PROUD. There was no denying I was your mommy.

My favorite blog, Designer Bags and Dirty Diapers does a weekly update on life, and I love it. It's by far my favorite post of the week. I thought I would just straight up rip it off as a way to get you guys caught up on all kinds of things. Fingers crossed nobody gets mad :)

My iPhone is on its VERY last leg... as in I cannot take any photos at all. I have to get people to take photos for me and text them to me. I have to get a new one ASAP... Please forgive the borrowed/stolen photos.

Last Friday I got the photos back from the Lovie Session we did with Katie Oblinger. I cannot even tell you how talented she is. She makes everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera, and she always captures the best moments! (see photo above and below).

The Reid House: Classic Architecture with a Modern Twist

In the month or April I shot 54 houses! It was crazy busy! One of my favorites was this condo in the Reid House. The Reid House was designed by Neel Reid and build in 1924. It's one of my favorite buildings in the city, and I love the fact that it's across the street from the High Museum. Denise Miller of Beacham & Company has this unit listed. I love the modern twist contrasted with the classic architecture. Last week I posted a photo of the office on Facebook, and everyone loved it, so I thought you would enjoy seeing all the photos.
