Here are a few things on my Christmas list this year … Oh to dream…
These books are so famous you might even think, “How could someone survive without them?” … but here it is… Santa, are you reading this?
If you don’t own this book, you should! It’s the interior design bible. Everyone has it. Except me. My boyfriend has got to be sick of me asking for it!!! (If you read this, here is another hint!)

This book should come as a closing gift to anyone who purchases a home!!
Oh please please Santa! I had the fortune of going into one of the homes featured in this book, and I got to look through it. It is amazing. I wish I had time to read the whole thing!
What would Christmas be without Neel Reid? I have the
other book about him written by William Robert Mitchell, but have only flipped through this one… The Hill and Dales estate is on the cover of this book. I had the pleasure of going there the other day when I was in LaGrange… and for those of you who love Neel Reid, I have a post coming up what will knock your socks off! Get ready
I am a fan of this book for 2 reasons. The first is that in high school I loved in an amazing house that was a copy of Lewis Crook’s personal home. The second is that I am a huge fan of William Robert Mitchell. He went to The Westminster Schools, which is where I went to school for 13 years. he is such a great writer and Atlanta historian.
I can hear you now, “Blayne! How do you not have this book??” I know. I know. (I have photographed that house by the way). For someone who loved Bill Harrison’s work as much as I do, you would think I’d own this by now…

Again. I know. I should already have this. It’s actually funny… I have looked through this book so many times, and every time I do it’s been autographed by Bill Baker. Lucky ducks!
This is really just a no-brainer. As much as I love Keith Summerour … And look who it’s written by….
This book is by Peter Vitale, my most favorite favorite photographer of all time. That is really saying something!! I love so many photographers…. but he has the most amazing eye. He is in Veranda Magazine almost every month, and the first thing I do is go through and try to pick out which pictures are his. Suprisingly, I am almost always right. He has such an amazing way of seeing the world. I could learn so much from him. For those of you who don’t know me, it is my life’s goal to shoot for Veranda, and Peter is such a hero of mine…. wow. I can’t even talk about it I get so excited.
So, if any of you guys have these books just laying around, send um my way! Ha ha. Just kidding
So, what do you guys want for Christmas? Are there any must-have books I may have forgotten?
I will have to do a post-Christmas follow up and let you guys know if I get any of them. Keep your fingers crossed
