Contest Finalist – We need your vote!
Hey Guys! Thank you so much to everyone who entered the “My Favorite Room” contest to win two 12mm black pearl lariats from Nastro Bello Jewelry worth $1200. The (40+) entries were literally amazing.. so amazing I had to get 7 people to judge the entries. I let each person pick their favorite (you may pick up on the fact that we are all animal lovers here at Beacham & Company!))…. Here are the final 7 entries we couldn’t live without. For those of you who entered more than one picture, I had to choose one for you just to make it simple for everyone.

When we first walked into the 1920 English Tudor home in Druid Hills, I never expected to see a room like this. As soon as I stepped into the pale turquoise ceramic tile room with an intersecting barrel arched ceiling, original ornate wrought iron gates and a Juliette balcony, walls of leaded glass with window seats and a working fountain…well, the rest of the house could have needed complete demolition and I still would have wanted it. Our daughter, who was 9 at the time, stood in the balcony, looked down at us, and said, “This room makes me want to say…bring me some pancakes!” That one room stole our hearts. We love to dine and relax in what we now call the Moroccan room and pretend we are far, far away.

The super-talented Donna at The Barefoot Photographer sent in this photo. gasp! Don’t you want to just put up your feet and hang out on the computer?
It is a difficult choice to call this my living room, home office, or dark room. Let’s just say all three. I love to sit in the living room and work. The cat sleeps on the ottoman practically all day. She is old and does not run around much — after breakfast — this is her spot. Sadie, my dog, is quick to grab my seat if I get up to get a glass of tea or answer the phone. I take a lot of photos and I can sit here as well as any place to review and edit the photos on my laptop. There are paintings on the wall (mine) showing some of my other favorite spots. Diamond Head is very recognizable over the mantel — but the other beach scene is of a section at Laguna Beach in California. The room is bright, light, and with a very high ceiling. I love the browns with the blue water in the paintings.

Stiff competition, as they are all gorgeous spaces that ooze charm and personality! But, I have to say I love Linda's kitchen! Her shiny copper is so pretty and I love the jars on the countertop for her silverware… and any room with a burlap skirt in it just makes my heart flutter!

I am confused though because your post says you had forty submissions but I am not seeing forty icons. Am I missing something? When this post loads for me I only see about 17 submissions. I would love to see the rest of them. I am able to see the finalists though so maybe that is all that matters.
It would be difficult for me to decide. These spaces are all unique and special.

I love all the rooms, but my favorite would have to be #3 – My Sweet Savannah. I am also voting for her as she is my sister and began renovating her house being pregnant with no money. She is incredibly talented and the work she puts into her house to make it a home for her family is unbelievable. The photos of her family on the wall show that she is not only a family gal, but a talented designer! Love ya, sis! You've got my vote!
